First up we have Cremant De Bourgogne Rose from Burgundy, France. This wine is one of a kind, as not all Crémant de Bourgogne are created equal. Michael and Harmon Skurnik have searched for years for a Crémant de Bourgogne that can deliver the quality and value that the Skurnik name has come to represent. With Victorine de Chastenay, they have found that rare combination. Long an afterthought for many producers in Burgundy, these delicious sparklers come from fruit in the Côtes de Nuits and Côtes De Beaune in Burgundy. Buy Online Here!
Second up we have Banshee Pinot Noir from Sonoma County. The 2016 edition is an exciting, yet friendly wine. It is bursting at the seams with aromas of macerated wild berries and an elegant, soft earth undertone. The flavors combine both sweet and tart, reminiscent of Santa Rosa plums and wild blackberries that grow so commonly in Sonoma Wine Country. The finish is bright, slightly herbal, and savory making this an excellent food wine. It is also a charming drinking experience by itself.
Third up we have Jax Vinyards Cabernet Sauvignon 2016 from Napa Valley, California. This wine is rated 91 points by Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate, and new to our store. Made up of 97% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Cabernet Franc. The deep garnet-purple colored 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate is scented of cedar, cassis and camphor with herbs and earth. The medium to full-bodied palate is vivacious with loads of fruit and a velvety texture with a refreshing finish. Buy Online Here!
Fourth up we have Tenuta Santa Maria Pragal. The Pragal comes from the Bertani family estate in the Val d’Illasi, and is a fruity, spicy blend of 60% Corvina, 20% Merlot and 20% Syrah. While the Merlot and Syrah are harvested in September, and vinified immediately, the Corvina is picked in October. It is then left to dry for a month before fermentation on the skins for approximately three weeks. This is followed by fining for six months in large oak barrels, as well as a small amount in barrique. After 6 months of aging in oak, the Corvina is assembled with the Merlot and Syrah before aging briefly in the bottle prior to release.
And last but certainly not least, our fifth featured wine will be Malvira Roero Arnies 2017. This is a white Italian wine you must try! Straw yellow in color, this wine offers aromas of fresh citrus fruits. On the palate, it is refreshing and savory. Buy Online Here!
We will have reds, a white, and even a sparkling rose open for you to try before you make your most important purchase this holiday season. Don’t miss out and stop in Saturday, we can’t wait to see you.
Buffalo Trace Distillery and Their Answer to The Great Bourbon ShortageBuffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky claims to be the oldest continually-operating distillery within the United States. The distillery has operated under numerous monikers, such as George T. Stagg Distillery, and the Old Fire Copper (O.F.C.). Records indicate that distilling has been happening on that site since 1775! With time comes priceless knowledge about fan favorites and trends. The Buffalo Trace Distillery doesn’t just produce Buffalo Trace bourbon, but also Blanton’s, Eagle Rare, George T. Stagg, Stagg Jr, Colonel E.H. Taylor, W L Weller, the forever coveted Pappy Van Winkle line, as well as many others. The popularity of bourbon has skyrocketed within the past few years. There seems an ever growing amount of wonderful bourbons out there, but never enough bottles of the favorites seem to be readily available. Buffalo Trace Distillery’s solution to the great bourbon shortage is unique. They produce small batches of high quality bourbon, rather than a mass quantity of mass produced whiskey. They have allocated a number of bottles per store, making their bourbons more accessible and to ensure every state receives some of their bourbons. They have also started producing more of some of the fan favorites, such as their W L Weller line, and the Buffalo Trace line. Unfortunately, bottles such as Pappy or George T. Stagg will see little growth in production, making these bottles harder to obtain than ever. At E-Ville Spirits and Wines, we carry many bottles from the Buffalo Trace Distillery. We carry the everyday bottles of Eagle Rare, Colonel E H Taylor, and Buffalo Trace Bourbons, as well as the Sazerac Rye. We also get random shipments throughout the year of our allocated bottles of Weller, Pappy, George T Stagg, and Blanton’s. Stop in and see what treasured bottles we have at any given time, or join our bourbon club for exclusive knowledge on when the rarer bottles arrive!
