La Massa Toscana Wine
La Massa Toscana is a deep ruby-red in color and is an opulent, fine wine with plummy, cedar wood aromas. Cherries, raspberries, and spice linger in the background. The palate offers rich black cherry and mocha flavors. The black cherry flavors and forest-floor aromas offer a fresh interpretation that lead into silky tannins a good balance and a smooth finish. The red blend is a mix of 60% Sangiovese, 30% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon.
The strict selection of grapes carried out at the harvest and proper management of fermentation resulted in a well-structured wine with good aromatic and flavorful content. The wine is matured in French oak barriques of which 40% were new. The process was characterized by an initial period of about 10 months before being bottled.
